About Us
The Ladder for Life Access (LALIFA) is nonprofit organization founded in 2021, legally registered in Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) under operational certificate Nº1186/RGB/NGO/OC/02/2023. LALIFA is committed to creating a sustainable and equitable future, by addressing health challenges, promoting climate resilience and inclusive education LALIFA targets children from vulnerable families and their households, including youth at risk of extreme poverty. The organization also targets poor families with economic empowerment
interventions. The nutrition and WASH interventions are designated to beneficiaries with nutrition needs (both capacity building and material support needs) as well as the families with unimproved sanitary practices.
To attain highest impacts, LALIFA employs community-based model, collaborating with with different stakeholders at national levels, local leaders ; community based structures like community health workers, parasocial workers, community peer educators, community based volunteers, Friends of Family ‘Inshuti z’Umuryango’, and non-governmental actors. LALIFA believes in changing systems, not treating symptoms. Integrating sustainable nutrition into the health system, starting from the early childhood development (ECD), is the only longlasting solution to effectively ensure healthy generations and wealthy communities. We work in close partnership with the local government, supporting ECDs and teaming up with Community Health Workers. Currently, we have our interventions in Rubavu District.
